A story mode where you command an army of Ancient Greek warriors from legend, consisting mainly of Spartan Hoplites, Arcadian's and Athenians as they march to defend there land from Persian invaders. Arcadian's are useful for there long range throw ability and the Athenians are great archers. Spartan Hoplites were great at close range fighting, they were the best warrior in the world according to legend. Each warrior type will have there own ability based on there strengths that were recorded in legend. Legend has it that the Spartan Hoplites were accompanied by other warriors from Greece, including: Arcadian's, Athenians and more who will help win the war. Keep your warriors alive as you defend your frontline against enemy invaders. You have archers, javalineers and Spartans Hoplites to help you win. Utilize the soldiers that you have to repel the enemy so you can win back Greece. Take control of the Spartan Hoplites as they march north to win battles against the Persian Empire that are expanding there empire into Greece led by the “God” King Xerxes I who was known in legend as a great god king. So now you must take up arms sharpen your spear, and pollish your Spartan shield so that you are ready to fight this war and win against the Persian invasion forces. He has many Persian warriors and slaves to fight the war for him to win Greece but they are not the best warriors with the exception of the immortal warriors who are the best warriors and can win battles for him at the time of the Persian Invasion of Greece. The Spartan, the Arcadian, the Athenian and all of the people of Greece need to team up and work together to win the war against the Persian Invasion forces who wanted to win the battles against the Spartan Hoplites and Greece. This war is a wake up call the the people of Greece.
Greece at the time was always in civil war and it was separated into many factions. Your journey starts in the Spartan Hoplites territory and you will fight the Persian invasion forces in Greece who wanted to win Greece for themselves and also win the Spartan Hoplites and their villages, towns, cities, and the Spartan people of Greece. Gates of Hades is a Action/Adventure game that is inspired by the Battle of Thermopylae legend and the 300 Spartan Warriors story where an alliance of Spartan Hoplites, Athenian and Arcadian warriors form a defense against the Persian invasion of Greece and win against the Persian invasion forces who wanted to win Greece for themselves.
